After getting some good advice here a couple months ago and reading a few reviews, I bought a T3 from brightguy.com. It was about $70 but well worth it imho. This thing is BRIGHT! And it does surprisingly well on batteries. The case/tube is also very well made and not cheap at all.

I would definitely recommend this light.

It's long because of the optics, heavy as a tank, and has great throw. If you like a pretty beam, forget it; like all Tiros optics it has more rings than Saturn, but that doesn't detract from its use at all. Fine light that throws like mad for an LED.

I'm very happy with mine. . . use it as my "Preflight" flashlight. It's got enough throw to illuminate the wings and upper tail of a 737. I think it's got enough spill to make it a good all purpose light, but throw is its strong point. Outstanding light!

I love mine as well, it beats a U2 hands down and at only a fourth of the cost!

I like it better than the X03 because the on/off switch doesn't require a counter clockwise turn. Don't know why both don't come with sheaths, though. The X03 does.
