Received my first KL1 today and put it in an E1e.
Boy the light sure is a bluish purple !!
It is also less penetrating in terms of distance which would lend itself to closer work.
Normal ?

Yes, bluish. Will you get used to it? I think so. I know that I did. Correct about the penetrating factor. It's not what the LED does, any LED. The LED is great for wide, close-up work and not for picking up a owl 300 feet at the top of a tree. You're KL-1 is working as expected.

Now, put that sucker on an E2E and it's even better. Constant runtime of 4.5 hours, plus you always have the EOM head of the E2E that allows you to use the MN02 and MN03 lamp assembly.
