Need help with old flashlight

I bought this flashlight in the 1990s. It's an Eddie Bauer Legend. Looks like it's built on a modified Maglite body. It takes two D-cells. It still functions, but the bulb is sadly dated. I'd like to upgrade the bulb and reflector, but don't know what the next step might be. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

It looks rather ordinary. I don't believe a photo would be any help.

It resembles a big two D-cell Maglite except for one rubber grip ring around the head and one around body.
