Want to do live web cam, what to get?

Hi guys!

I am new to video chat, but want to suscribe to one to see and talk to friends in another country, any suggestions in what is the best choice for video chat.

Free would be the best choice? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Any affordable pay video chat?
USB camera recommendations?
Any links to forums to get more knowledge?

logitech pro 4000 is pretty darn good.i used to have a webcam set up her for my pets and stuff
