I think my good friend Freddy needs to share more information, and use 3 Luxeon Vs instead. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif (Kidding on the Luxeon Vs)

Looks good - you machine the sink yourself?

Are those 20s or 27s? They look a bit small, relative to the stars, to be 27's.

looks like a HS that goes into the body and head of a mag. so those would probably be 20's. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcorn.gif

Be patient my friend be patient, within a few days I'll tell you the whole story. Yep, I machined the heatsink myself.

akula88, chop, orion, IsaacHayes
It are 3x IMS20 reflectors.

Ctechlite
Sorry but this one is NOT for sale since it's used in my latest mod. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
However MAYBE I'll offer to make a few of them...

IsaacHayes
In the pictures you actually see two different heatsinks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif The sink in the first picture is made for the MagD; number two and three are pictures of the same sink however this one is made for the MagC.

AWESOME! And you said it'd be regulated, too? I love that solid chunk of metal, too. Talk about thermal mass...

A question before I leave, why are there so many Multi-luxeon mods lately? Is it because Don did the one with like 5 luxeons?

1. Three LuxIII's will output more Lumens than one LuxV
2. Nice LuxIII's are widely available, nice LuxV's are hard to find
3. No donut hole when using multiple LuxIII's. You never get rid of the donut when using a LuxV

I think ever since the Fraen Tri-lens FT3 came out and Wayne from El and Flash.... did mods that it's proven to be a robust setup. Ever since the Barbolight came out w/3 20mm reflectors, it's found to give a tighter beam with spill, no everyone who can't afford the barbolight or wants the same setup with a body switch/whatever drivers have been building them.
