I want to put 2 red led's in the eye sockets of a model human skull I have. The only catch....It will be placed on a 24 volt forklift. Can I use resistors or something to stop from frying them?

Absolutely!

I would wire them in series with a 1000 ohm resister. That is according to the LEd resistor calculator on http://linear1.org/ckts/led.php and assuming a forward voltage of 2.3v and 20ma. You should re-run the calculation if the LED's you've got are different than that.

And you should really use a meter to check the current draw of them and adjust the resister if it's too much or too little. It's probably OK not to, but LED's can vary quite a bit from the published specs.

Good Luck and post pictures when it's done!
