I think I read something like this on a thread about LongBow micras. They said that when they got pee green tinted micras, they would actually be slightly brighter than white tinted ones. Is this true with luxeons in general? If so, why?

Well, I don't own any decent lights with a greenish tint but I have two lower end lights one with a cyan Lux1 and one with a pinkish-tinted (WA-type) white Lux1 and the cyan definately seems 'brighter'. Not sure if that's an actual measurable thing or just wavelengths playing tricks on my eyes.

The human eye's sensitivity to light wavelengths, between 400 and 800 nm is a curve peaking near 555 nm, aka green light. So, a 'white' light with more green in its spectrum would appear brighter than say, a purple-tinted one. This is true of all light sources I know of.
