Apart from their different lamp/bezel assemblies, are the L4 and E2E exactly the same (i.e., same barrel/body and tailcap)? If so, I would assume that either can be fitted with Pila 168S batteries, an Mc2ES switch, and a new KL-1 head. Thanks.

Well, one would say "Executive" and one would say "Lumamax" on the barrel. Slight difference, though.

If you're making your own combo, maybe you could find a body that you could use that doesn't have anything on it. An Aleph body, maybe? Balrog?

yep lego rocks
and so does the surefire E series
however dont bother trying pilas and a mce2s with the e2/ e2e incandescent lamp assembly

these bits are only really any good for the LED series of heads for the e series - KL1 KL4 Aleph series etc
