Greatland Lasers have a novel approach using lasers as handheld signalling devices for search/rescue.

I've been waffling about these things for quite awhile, and I wouldn't waffle at all if I really felt the price was right for what you get. The Equipped.com site kind of spoiled the market for these guys, I think, by touting the super visibility of a green laser they were using as a comparison to their Rescue Laser Flare. I think most of us are waiting for a green version to come out!
