A while ago I mentioned my flashlight interest on a police board, and I was greeted with a good deal of suspicion. Didn't have any idea what they were talking about until I saw this:

I guess it's been a real problem. Never heard of it before, though. I'd hate to show someone my police light shelf and get reported to Homeland Security.

IED can be anything. That is kind of the point.

I think this applies more to flashlights left unattended in wierd places...

They didn't use their spell checker "Essentially, individuals have booby-trapped flashlights and left them at the crime scenes, bomb and arson scenes or were their intended victim will find them."

I'm sorry, but the phrase "If the bomb squad tries to laugh at you" just cracked me up.

I've never heard of flashlight-bombs either, but it's not really suprising.

He probally just had a flashlight stolen, now he is trying to keep all his friends at the precinct to stay away..

Shoes, flashlights.. whatever, get spell check and go do your job.
