Hebei LEDs

Has anyone here ordered from Hebei LED Taiwan? If you have, what do you think of them? I was thinking about ordering a bunch from them, but for my $66 order for 450 LED's they want to charge me $33 for shipping on what must be a tiny package (a few ounces). Have people here had the same problem, or did you order a larger quantity?

Does anyone in the US resell these LEDs like LSDiodes.com sometimes does?

specify what type of LEDs you are looking for, that page has all sorts of LED colors/types on it. Are you ordering one type or a mix/match variety of them? I dont recall any US reseller offering prices in the 25 cent range for white LEDs or higher output colored ones so you will probably have to order them from an asian source like besthongkong.com or chiwing or another ebay asian seller of LEDs.

Heibi has a minimum order requirement of $200; your $66 order would be well below that minimum, and might therefore have merited the $33 shipping fee.

I was specifically looking at the flat-top LEDs on the Hebei website (parts 5N47*) since I need very wide angle. I looked at Besthongkong.com a bit but they don't specify the angles of light ouput for their LEDs on their webpage, so it's not so useful to me. I'll check ChiWing some more. Thanks.

you can sand the front of the LEDS down. Polish up the sanded area and you now have a wide area LED.

Nat needs 450 of these LEDs, so sanding & polishing the tops off them might take awhile. :/

The postage is not WE decided, it is TNT rates. 36 USD is for first 500g, but each additional 500g costs 7.50 USD "only". There is necessary to realize, here is China, quite far from the US.

So actually this postage serve us as "minimum order", although still a lot of orders we get is in range 50-100USD.
