Gall\'s H.A.L.O.-12v./ & 6 cell Mag

Seems to me I remember reading that somebody on CPF was looking for the 6 cell Mag. If so, latest RadShack flyer shows one on sale: cat. # 980-0519 (Mfr's. model #S6DO15-$19.95).-Also saw that same unit in my latest Galls cat. for $26.

p.s.-does anybody here have any experience with the Galls H.A.L.O. 12v. tactical Lithium flashlight that is only 4¾"long?

KT-I sent their tech support an inquiry to clear that up.
Btw-another confusing thing IMO,
is their listing right UNDER the description they list the light for #R-FL280 @$49.99, but at the TOP of the page it says $74.99 -what gives?

I'm assured by the support people at Galls that the H.A.L.O. 5" Xenon tactical light is indeed a 12v. flashlight that takes 2x6v. batts..

Could this be the most powerful small flashlight yet??

this ain't too shabby for 70 bucks. Especially when it comes with two extra lithium batteries, a spare bulb, and a nylon holster. Very appealing indeed!

And you thought it was hard getting 123A 3V Lithiums...

Try getting these 6V batteries! What brand, and type are they?!

I think there is some confusion here?

There's no confusion here, (I've seen those Duracell 6 volt cells in our drug stores over here).

Btw- I got an Email from Gall's tech support just this morning about which exact battery type/configuration is used.
-If anybody cares to, they can contact: [email protected] to confirm that info.

Re: Gall\'s H.A.L.O.-12v./ & 6 cell Mag

I'm real confused. The galls ad says it uses 2 fl23 6volt batteries and is 4 3/4" long. They also list the fl123 battery as 2 3 volt lithiums packages together. (do a product search on fl123) that would be 4 3 volt lithiums which would be about 5.25" long. Kinda strange you could fit that length battery in there but ok. Also the picture in the Galls catalog has 2 batteries reading CR123A plainly visable next to the halo light on page 37 issue 01X The picture is for the package deal on the light and a carrier.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!!!!!!!
The Galls light uses two 3VOLT 123-type batteries...IT IS NOT A 12V LIGHT! The catalog is a typo...
I ordered one, and the beam was terrible...So I sent it back...

If I were a tech. rep., I think I'd sharpen up just a bit on my company's offerings.

Thanks for clearing that up.

6V (to 123A batteries)
Crap beam.

It wasn't on my list to buy, but it's now on my list not to buy!

Thanks!

I was wondering how it used a battery longer than its own length. I thought maybe you needed a 5 pound mallet to make the batteries fit when you changed them.
