The head is too damned big for comfortable pocket carry.

Also, check this out....

Top is stock, bottom its being fed by two AA's. They make a 2xAA version that should be this bright. Ordering from PickEasy you get a nice little 2x2016 micro light. I actually played with the micro light for 10 minutes before I even took the 12led thing out of its wrapper /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have this one also. Was it Waion (?) that sold these ?

The 12 LEDs are about as bright as 3-4 Infinity Ultras.

Not a bad light for the bucks. I keep a lithium in it, and keep it in the car.

Re: Isn\'t this cute:

That's insanely cheap for a 12LED light. Just imagine what you could do with it if you could swap out the LEDs with the new 26000mcd LEDs! You'd actually get some throw from it.

See the 1st post for a link and then click for seller's other items.

I'd also like to know what kind of switching mechanism it uses - clicky, reverse clicky, momentary, twisty, tactical etc.

Hmmm, any chance there's enough room to bore it out for 2xCR2?

I may just have to go order a few...

If you have some good tools you might be able to. I tried opening mine up to accept a 123 but it was a no-go.

Re: Isn\'t this cute:

Also, I dont know that it would be wise to run them on a 14500 cell. I ran it for several minutes on a single CR123a and the light got pretty hot, I think another 1.2 volts might fry it.

I modified the heck out of mine. I ground the head down, then fitted a piece of PVC pipe to it and I'm going to put a copper or aluminum pipe inside to hold a single CR123a and a switch.

It sure as heck isnt much to look at, but.....

The head is made of some TOUGH aluminum, it took me half an hour to grind it down like that. The whole thing is covered in some epoxy that will be sanded down to give a good bonding surface for some black Krylon Fusion.
