F/S mint ARC LSH-P #1688, TWOH, so17 reflector & mineral lens. mod by CY. ultra effecient luxeon only draws 423 milliamps for long runtimes. Beam is bright and white. has faint tiger stripes. Absolutely beautiful light!!! $225 shipped conus w/tracking, insurance is extra. I cannot be responsible for loss.

Cy, this is way too green to be a TWOH.. more like TX1(?)
Could it be the fact that is driven at 330+ mA?

amophous, what are you comparing it to? lux Bin and driven at?

a WO color bin should not shift to X1 color bin when underdriven. It will shift toward X1 (so go to X0 first) if overdriven though.

I didn't see any green at all. please note everyone's eyes see it a little different.

here's a pic of the actual star TWOH was taken off of. beamshot reflect no green at all.

TWOH's vf = 3.076 when driven at 3.309V @ 349 milliamps delivered by HP 6362B bench power supply, measured by Fluke 87

Shiftd, thanks for your info. I do have more than 5 TWOH to compare with, I know that Vf will drop after so many hours, but I don't think color bin will change that much. Cy, What's your take on this?

Cy, no problem.. I just like the serial number.. I've replaced the LED with another TWOH.

my take is everyone's eyes are a little different. it's getting so I don't trust what I see.

when there's any question. I ask my boys' opinion. on what color do they see. Also I take beamshots. amazingly my camera has proven it will shown colors, especially green.

Also my experience has shown that luxeons when underdrive will shift twards green or yellowish. depending upon who's eyes is looking. further if you put two LED's side by side forget any accuracy from your eyes for several hours.

You got it backwords, shiftd: Tint shifts towards green when underdriven, and to a progressively angrier blue when over driven. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

CY, I had one TW0 emitter overheated due to accidental turn-on and its no longer white. The color shifted toward the green as a result. Also as you've mentioned, 3 watters W0 have the tendency to shift to green when under driven.

Shiftd, I got one left, the others are being utilized. PM sent.

lol ende. i speak from the TWOJ that i have. When i underdrive it, it sure goes to warmer one, not green.
