My First Custom - 21 LED UV \"CrimeScene Blaster\"

Made this 21 LED UV light with a 3D aluminum casing for dirt cheap. Good range. 385-395nm

Very bright, would be good for looking for prints. (If I was a special agent, eh, I still can look for prints though huh)

Good Job! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif When you say the range is 385~395nm did you mean thats the range of the LEDs or did you use different wavelength LEDs?

Used all the same wavelength. Spec'd is 385, but I'd say actual is between 385-395.

Is it just me or does UV tend to bounce off things alot more. Beam shot against an red LED flashlight at ~25ft.
The UV one will light up half the room.

I just noticed it has the exact same case as this

This is a really easy flashlight to mod.

Another comparable:

But $228? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Not with that violet wavelength. It's obviously not 365nm of less just by looking at the color.
