I just bought a Mag 6D and I was wondering what mods are available for it. Thanks?

The easiest would be to use NiMH cells and a WA1274 bulb, will get you 550 lumens for almost 4 hours with good NiMH cells. You will also have to replace the lens with a Borofloat lens from www.flashlightlens.com and replace the reflector with a metal one:

If you don't get hold of a potted bulb then you need a bi pin adapter:

WA1274 can be bought from Light-Edge:
http://www.light-edge.com/products.asp?section=Super%20Bulbs&cat=40
currently only as Bi Pin, but he will soon have some potted ones as well.

Another mood would be to create a 12 V battery pack of 10 x 1/2 D cells:
http://www.batterieswholesale.com/nimh.htm
and then use a 12 V bulb (lots of options).

If you want to go LED, use a Luxeon V LED and a heatsink. You'll get a cool bright monster! Check the Hotlips link in my signature line.

The simplest mod yet...well not really a mod,

Buy a 5.2v Halogen with at least 0.8A rating and replace
the stock bulb that came with it.

It should be almost as bright as a SF 9P with P90 lamp.

A WA 1185 still looks good with 6 nimh cells with a much longer bulblife and about 300-400 lumens in the process.
Plus you can still warm your hands on a chilly day with this thing's warm, amber white beam.

waion is about to try to sell the reflectors needed to pull this off.

What's the point in underdriving this so much? A 1274 will draw the same current but give you more light.

A bulb that I forgot is the WA1111 that will give close to 900 lumens.
