I'm guessing the body only fits one pair of similar batteries. Don't think you could mix and match.

Mix and match = reverse charge = double plus ungood.
It's a neat concept for an emergency light, but it'd be much more interesting if it could run off all the consumer battery types, including AAA, 9V, CR123, CR2, lantern batteries, wires from any source (e.g. a car battery), etc.
