Eh, just get the e2d in the first place. It's cheaper (than buying pieces separately) and the only Surefire with "tailstand" capability.

Eh...I already have 12 E-series lights and several Aleph LE/heads that could use a clickie/tailcap in HA3 Nat for tailstand ability. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

BTW I do have an E2D but don't much care for the beam.

Dang, I'm too much of a philistine to care about the difference between the e2d and e2e. E2e is smaller, but that's all I've noticed.
