Hey guys,
my name is samuel and i am a flashaholic....hehehe
Anyway, living here in Australia, powerful flashlights are hard to find and I have been living on a AAA mini maglite for the past two years. THis light has served me well but is now flickering on me. I am looking for something which has a decent battery life (10 hours or so) which, if possible, uses regualar AAA or AA batteries. Something with a bit more throw than the mini mag would be good also. I just purchased an Inova X1 which is great! but as others have said, something with a bit more spill would be good
thanks.

i replaced all my single AAA minimags, with the simplest of pocket lights, and have not looked back.
we got PhotonIIs (when they were way to much) for keylights, instead of them.
the single AAA mag was such poor light distribution, a keychain light in led was an improvement.

there is a luxeon 1w drop in module for a 2AA mag light that works ok for 28$ usd but it still uses the same fudged up donut ring reflector.

did you need the zoom capability, from a point light to a wide RING :)
