Does anyone know for sure if the original Surefire KL1 head (generation 1 or 2, not the current model with the narrow optic) is safe with over 6 volts input? I'd like to try using 2 unregulated RCR123 LiIons, but they are 4.2 volts each. The Surefire instructions say only that its OK with E2e bodies of course - a nominal 6 volts. Nothing about using 3 cells (9 volts).
KL1 gen 2 over 6 volts?
