How to remove optic?

I've got a 3xAA LuxIII light which looks a lot like the Elektrolumens Blaster Jr., i.e. 1 D cell configuration with 3xAA-to-D converter in it. It uses a large (30 mm?) optic. The optic appears to be held in by either a deep threaded ring which has no holes, grooves, etc. in it to unscrew it with, or there is actually a ledge milled into the bezel holding the optic. Can't tell.

Does anyone know how to remove the optic of this light, or of an Elektrolumens Blaster Jr. in case the 2 lights are designed similarly?

BL JR it's just a rubber ring press fit to hold the optic in place. Just pull it out...
