My Q3 is Blinking constantly when i turn it on.

Well I just got done installing a TWOK into my Q3 and then slapped in a R123 (4.2v) and turned it on and it flickers brightly and then dims noticably down to the same level as a primary cr123a. Anyone have any thoughts as to why?

Maybe MilkySpit can chime in here he explained it to me but your problem sounds different. I had a high Vf Luxeon and when my battery wound down it would flicker. The driver couldn't supply the voltage needed.

Did you check the battery in another light?

I sure did, and I just got done putting the stock light back in and it doesnt do it at all. wondering if my star is bad.
