Sold/Expired FS: Gold Aleph1 ** Withdrawn**

I've got the following forsale:

#1. Gold Aleph 1/BE2/DB917/TWOK/Mc2ES 60 ohm. Never carried and in excellent condition. I think the anodizing on this one is type II non glossy type. The LE on this light is really bright registering 3300 lux at 1 meter. Green glow powder was also added to the emitter which gives a really nice green glow after the light has been turned off. $175 shipped (1-2 weeks shipping time, I won't be held responsible for lost/damage).

3800 LUX at 1m!!! Wow! I have an Aleph1 with an NG1000 and I get 2700 LUX. What do you suppose is the main reason that you can get 3800 LUX from a single battery light?

I've got no idea why it makes that much...I can take the reading all day and will get at least 3750lux at 1 meter...I'm using Metermann LM631 and R123 battery...

This measurement is measured at peak ... might go down abit if it run longer.

Just measured it again a few minutes ago...it reached 3810 lux...using a used R123 (a few minutes runtime on it already)....

Amazing!! If I didn't have mine I'd grab yours! That's a LOT of throw for a 1 cell 123 ion with NG500/TXOJ. What the heck is making you part with such an awesome light?

I need the cash to get laser in 80-90mW range .. maybe I'll just keep the light engine and sell the marble shell...we'll see how it goes, if it don't sell in the next 24 hours I'll keep it...

Just did some more testing...I think I know why its making 3800 lux ... I was using un-protected R123 (650mah).... when I used protected R123 I only got 3300 lux... but still 3300 is not bad at all /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What reflector does your high lux Aleph use?

If you use it on a R123 it will pump more than 500mA as the Li-Ion will "overdrive" a NG set for lower drive currents. You might want to check with a CR123. This light however, is one of the most beautiful creations ever, and even at more than 500mA, 3800 lux is /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif quite astonishing! I have a very bright DB917 T-bin measuring just above 3000lux ... A true keeper normally!

A normal 27mm reflector that came with Aleph 1 head. Shoppe sells them.
