Current to the led is about 1000 ma until the batteries are really ended.

I was wondering where these crappy old batteries went. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I had forgotten I had put 6 crummy 3 year old rechargeable alkaline D cells in this thing a few weeks back.
This light never dimmed at all after several hours of use on these batteries that have already been recharged 30+ times.
