Well, they should be discounting it - The new Beast II will be out in July 2005 (let us all hope). I received a press release to our tactical operations unit today, - it is supposed to put out 30% more light (600 lumens?) and still have the same if not a little better battery life.

I scanned the release here:

maybe the beamshot photo overloaded your video card - it is 30% brighter than the original Beast. I wonder if it is going to be Beast II?

Me too. I had to shut down my computer before the evil blue screen would go away. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Very Funny.
Clicking that link is not advised.
I guess whoever clicks it without checking out where it goes first gets what you intended.

Yeah, didn't mess up Fedora at all. Fedora is smarter than Windows. . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Surefire Beast, now 300US Shipped at surefire.

Running Windows, but browsing on Firefox with the popup killer. Couldn't resist seeing what it was all about /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I took a look at the source. It's a harmless little gag but very well executed, it won't actually harm your system but it will make the screen "look" like it is rebooting. I tried loading it deliberately to check it out. It creates a popup full screen then displays an animation that looks like a computer rebooting. The popup killer will stop it.

It also happens I have a multimonitor setup (two displays, one PC), so even if the first monitor 'reboots' and the second doesn't, it gives the game away /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Happy April Fools!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
