OK I can't take credit for its creation but maybe the concept.

It all started a while ago with one of my treks to Darell's Flashlight Funland, he showed me his Chop(ed) E2D bezel.
Later I saw the Aleph CR2 body in black, the Surefire Z61 clickie in black and the concept was born.

So I sent my E2D bezel to the "Master Modder" Chop, for him to perform his EXE mod on my E2D bezel,
Which consists of drilling out the original reflector, chasing the threads to fit an Aleph Light Engine, and replacing the reflector with an SO17XA reflector, topping it off with a Nexgen 350/TWOJ Light Engine.

And all I can say is what a nice little light!

Great output, small, fantastic beam quality, and nice throw/spill!

And I think it looks like a Chess pawn. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So here it is!

It does not look like a pawn to me and it took a while to figure out why. The ring at the front reminds me of a bishop with hands folded. And bishops have geater throw and *always* side spill.

Good one mike! I would personally classify them as "Side emitters".

Uh....hmmmm... attempting to lower voice a few octives...........I already suffered the consequences of that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/oops.gif
Now it either goes in a shirt/jacket pocket or I have a sheath for a QIII that I put it in before putting it in my pants pocket. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif

Chop, thanks again for your Pristine work on this and my other EXE bezel/LE. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif

Beamhead,

I hope you're enjoying the lights. For their size, they are hard to beat.
