My bad about the date.

It seems there is more than one Rube Goldberg event.

The one in your link held at Purdue University was called "The National Rube Goldberg Machine Contest".

The one being held on April 29 at University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) is called "The National Rube Goldberg Competition".

I'll have to deflect some blame for the confusion to the source who notified me of this, because he's a UW Badger. Naturally, the freakin' cheesehead refuses to recognize the legitimacy of the Purdue University competition.

For the record, Rube Goldberg Inc. mentions the April 9 contest on its website, but not the April 29 competition. (The first link I posted)

I wonder how many steps would be needed to change the batteries in a Princeton Tec Surge? Or a Surefire Dominator 10X?

Part III is to give an Arc 4 to a MIT graduate, and see if he/she can get ALL the functions working perfectly in under an hour.

The winner receives a NIB Arc-AAA /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
