My Nuwai ALX-053L 5 Watt light just went bad. It has gotten pretty dim. If you look carefully at it (which I know you shouldn't do), 1 quarter of the LED no longer illuminates. So you see the LED box and a corner square of it is not lit.

Does anyone know any options for a warranty replacement of this? I purchased it from a popular EBay dealer who also has a website, but haven't heard back but they do state their return policy is 14 days. Is there a distributor in the US that I could contact? I tried contacting Nuwai, they told me they don't have any offices in the US and that I would be best off returning it where I bought it. They sound like they may be willing to work with me, but it might be a hastle trying to return it to TW.

How difficult is it to replace the Luxeon Star's on these if I were to attempt to repair it myself?

you shouldn't have to repair a brand new flashlight, the seller should have some honor and replace it...
