This is our Featured Product and was launched on in early March, 05. This is a 3watt MR16 with 3, 1watt high powered luxeon bulbs inclosed to give this MR16 an output of 60 lumens. This product can come in Warm and Cool White. Can be retrofited into existing MR16 sockets.

Err....wait. 60 lumens?

The MR16s that we usually handle are in the 2000-3000 lumen class, and even the 20W MR16s put out something in the range of 500 lumens.

Depends on how you measure it...
There are 3, one watt Luxeon stars in it, which has produced a wider beam angle as well as 3 times the brightness as current 1 watt. We have the 3X3 in testing now and it has held up for 6 straight weeks. It produces between 115-125 lumens.

that is cool!
also
agrees with Kevin, whadda ya mean it depends on how you test it ? lumens is lumens aint it?
"can compete with" is a good way to say it.

3x3W luxIII does compete with 20W incadesesent, in what we chaged over it Did completly replace it, without somebody complaining.

that is also a good price, to many times we see 50$ price tags for 3-5mm weasily little leds in a nice case with control.

when i used 1W luxes it took 6-9 to try and replace a 20W bi-pin thing, but the bi-pin was loosing light in its reflector.

how about some more pictures?
what is the approximate beam angle or angles available.
specs on how HOT it gets, and what the user should do , or put it in to keep it cool.
its ability to operate outside (weather resistance)
the voltage , and voltage differences you can feed it.
stuff like how well it works in malibuie lighting stuff or other aranagements that it would be used in.

you have a nice assembly in a clean package, but without more info , how could anyone apply it?

I see what you mean Natist, but we need more pictures. How is the heat on them? When will the 3X3 be available?

That is a good price. How much do you think it will improve with the advances in the Luxeon I technologies they raised lumens from 31 to 45. Thats a big improvement!

We believe that the increase in lumens on the luxeon I will now allow us to compete with the 20watt halogen. Since, luxeon price did not go up we will still be able to price 3X1 MR16 by Solutions Lighting for 64.95. We are doing our own test on 3X1 with luxeon I improvements now!

If there are any light fixture mfg. out there then please send us an email at [email protected]. We are looking for high end outdoor lighting for future solid state lighting applications.

Yes the new lumen output in the 1 watt LED will help this MR16 compete with 20 watt Halogen.
