LED Polarity (Urgent Help!)

How do I tell which lead on the LED is psitive and which is negative? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Cool. I found a drawing similiar at the LED Museum and it saved me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I just made my first Mag Mod, a 3C Lux III Direct Drive, so I wasn't sure which lead to solder the negative wire to.

on 5mm LEDs if you can see inside the epoxy the bowl or larger metal structure is the - negative while the other part which looks almost like just a wire..... is + positive.
