Can\'t get bezel ring off of 6P... aarghh...

I'm trying to get the bezel ring off my SF 6P to "investigate" an anomoly under the lens. It looks like either the rubber gasket under the lens is curled up in a spot or the lens has a chip on the edge - I can't tell. But for the life of me, I can't get the bezel ring loose. And the more I try the more I'm tearing up the ring. Is it one of those that are permantly attatched?

do you have a tool that is used to take of watch case backs or a spanner wrench? if not, get a pair of needle nose pliers that'll open up as much as they can

They should all be sealed in.

Does that mean that it is permanetly attatched, as in it cannot be removed?

If you need to heat it up, try leaving it on the dash of your car in the sun. That might loosen it up.

"Can not" is perhaps a bit 'strong' - most things can be disassembled.

Of course, such action would likely invalidate the warrantee, and may damage the ring itself and perhaps even the bezel.

try the Swiss Army Knife caplifter blade I know it worked for me on one that was more than stubborn. It has been mentioned on at least 2 other threads about the G2
