I actually completed this mod a couple of weeks ago, but it just occured to me to post here.
It's nothing fancy, just a Lux III DD in a 3C Mag. I went for DD to keep it simple for my first mod. I used a TV1L emitter and a hotlips hetasink. I figured it would go smoothly and heck...it really did! I used Mr. Bulk's Space Needle buils instructions since it was basically the same mod I was doing, except for the LuxV of course. His instructions were great, very detailed. Thanks Charlie!
It is nice and bright, very white, and of course it really THROOOOWS.
I did learn from a few mistakes I made during this mod: Not too use too much AA adhesive, the insulation on the wires melts fairly easily, and welding irons are hot...I'll leave that to your imagination.
I already have another DD LuxIII in line for my next mod, this way I can get some more practice time in.
