1) Shorter
2) Lighter
3) better spill pattern
4) WILL NOT RIP PANTS POCKET ANYMORE.
5) easy to do (If you have a lathe or mill handy)

This is my very well used EDC as you can see.
It's a Flashlight, not an edged weapon.

Does the QIII finish rub off that easy in a pocket? I wish there was a HAIII version.

Insides and reflector stock. Its spent some time on keychain attached in pocket. I kinda like the well used look on an EDC. I mean I use it every day.I am buying 8 more for my friends and associates. Everyone that sees one wants one.

Maan Nikola, that title just hurt clicking on it! :|

I concur with 1955, now he's circumcised, he can get on with the job... Seems he's all prepped and ready to blow...

Recently I have eliminated the anodizing of one Q-III that had multiple scratchs using a NaOH solution as described here.

The bare aluminum Q-III will look like new once I polish it.

I wonder how hard you were rubbing it? It certainly does look well used........

Actually, I think that's more because he was always banging it into things. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleye11.gif

Anyone tried just dulling the serrations a bit?

I guess somebody has to say it and I rarely get the chance:
"Mine's longer than yours"
