Sooo..What is the present Hot Watt...

...for direct drive Mag mods in Luxeon III? I don't hear much about the "old" standards; the TWOK & TWOL, or the one I have and really like for bright, throw and color, the TVIL.
I hear rumblings about the "U" BINS, "M" vf, and the "new" way the color coding is now written. Can anyone explain what that is all about? Are the Cree LEDs any better than the Luxeons?

Is it regulated/resistored or DD?

I still like the TW0K's but I also have a DD TV1L that I like.

Y0 is ony of my fave tints. HID blue. I don't mind the X1 tint either, though people say it's green
