I have just built a micro processor controlled (by djpark) Q3 and it is VERY VERY cool. For details about the features it includes (strobe, SOS, high low brightness) look at the following page:

PIC-O-PWM (POP) micro-P

The coolest thing is that the QIII's reverse momentary switch actually is a benefit. Let me try to illustrate.

Turn on QIII (brightness at previous brightness)
Tap, Tap (brightness changes from high to low or low to high)

OR

Turn on QIII (brightness at previous brightness)
Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap (strobe mode)

OR

Turn on QIII (brightness at previous brightness)
Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap (SOS mode)

Please PM me for any questions. I am asking $100 for the following:

1 x QIII with POP mod and with SX1K bin LED (can replace with TWOJ for small price)
1 x Original nylon holder
1 x Shipping to North America included

It should be the latest firmware by djpark with two LDO chips I believe.

How fast is the strobe? I would be interested if you could make it stobe 15~20 times a second.

From a very very crude estimate, I would say it is around 15-20 times second. I did not program the chip so only djpark would know the exact frequency. The strobe is a fast one and not a "blink" if that is what you wanted to know.
