netflix/post office question

Will the post office accept the returned netflix movies being dropped off at those post office street blue boxes? I forget whether they say "letters only" or not. I am afraid to leave them for general pick up at my condo community mail box area and the only alternative is to make special post office trips during my lunch hour. I think they are small enough so that they will fit in the blue boxes.

That's where I always drop off mine. Funny, I never assumed that they are not accepted there. The netflix envelopes fulfill every weight and dimension requirement for ordinary letters, I presume.

Thanks for the timely responses. Just wanted to make sure, particularly in these days of post 9/11.

i work for post office. you can drop them in the blue receptacles. when they are processed they do not go thru letter machinery because the disc cannot bend to go around rollers. they are processed by hand or on automated flat sorters. a flat is a magazine.
