Where can I get one of those super bright 5mm white LEDs? I want to upgrade my Dorcy AAA. I've heard of good results from people who have done this.

Also, can anyone point me to a beamshot comparing the stock with an upgraded 5mm LED?

Thanks,
Ken

Thanks. That's just what I was looking for. Is the MJLED the same exact one that Wayne sells at the Sandwich Shop for $3.25? I think Wayne's are 25 degree. If not, where can I get a MJLED?

Thanks,
Ken

The extra cost is for custom forming of the LED. The 'UNCUT' LED is a 5mm standard case LED, this is designed to withstand currents in excess of 100mA with a low running voltage. The MJLED is one of these LEDs but with 1 more step, he has ground down the front of the LED in a special way that it is NO LONGER a 25degree LED but now closer to a 180degree LED. This will work (with some reflector modding) in a standard mini m@g.

I wonder what one of dem MJLED would look like in a Keylight.. the uncut 26K is blinding but a focused beam one would be painful.
