LOL

Yea, that pretty much sums it up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

- Completely safe with the unprotected 18650 cells (mine drew the cell down to 3.1V)
- 1 hour 30 minutes runtime
- Dims about 230 lux over the runtime on level 6 (other levels are much more flat)
- 1777 lux on 2x123, 1496 lux on 18650

its a Winner! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

So, where do I get 'em and what charger do you recommend? Also, will the 18650 work in a E2E/KL1 light? Thanks.

The best kept, never-announced secret of the U2.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I see utterly no reason to own an L7 nowadays.

PS: 18650s are too fat for the other Surefire lights, the U2 is the only one that was specially built to take that size of battery. Try 17670s for the others.

I bought my LG 18650-2400mah batteries and charger at www.Batteryspace.com
I think the batteries (Part no. LC-18650S4) were $8.90each and the charger (Part no. CH-UNLI004)was $15.99. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
