The Mystery of the \"13\" (solution posted)


Okay, this is a giveaway, but you have to do something to win! The first person to correctly identify each of the following 13 lights will get the first prize shipped to any place in the world. If nobody gets all 13 lights right until Friday the 13th (extended to May 20th), 13:13PM EST, the person with the most correct guesses wins. If there are multiple persons with the same number of correct guesses, the person who posted first wins.

Prizes (all brand-new in box):

So let's get to the mystery... here are the facts about the "13":

[*]they are all brand lights, except for one which is from one of CPF's very own "manufacturers"
[*]lights with multiple brightness levels were set to the highest level for the picture
[*]4 of the lights have multiple brightness levels
[*]the "13" are from 7 manufacturers

I bet if you gave beam shots also of each light you would get more guesses. I don't have any luxeons so I won't bother to guess.

Okay, I'll renew this and set the new deadline one week later, Friday May 20th, 13:13PM EST. For those who already guessed but not for all lights, I'd say it's fair to edit your posts to include guesses for *all* lights (lists with the same guess for multiple/all lights included).

Lynx Arc and Mags: no beamshots, that would be too easy! The shape (and size!) of the bezels is already a lot of information, there are not that many brand Luxeon lights available! If you arrange all the Luxeon lights you have access to in a similar way, you will be able to tell which of your lights is which on the picture of the "13", it doesn't take very much to get on position #1 right now... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BTW: I will post a daylight picture of the above "gathering" after the deadline.

Actually the last person guessing can take all the good guesses from eveyone else and put them in their list since everyone is listing their guesses publically.
