May 6, 2005...MaxLite of Pinebrook, New Jersey USA, a traditional manufacturer of fixtures and lamps for over fifty years, has delved into the realm of solid state lighting by collaborating with Toshiba to produce a white LED-based light that fits into a regular, 120V light socket. The device looks much like a traditional bulb on the outside, but the inside holds four bright, carefully controlled white LEDs with a reflecting mirror curved around the LED array.
