I don't own one, but having researched the Sabrelite version I would say that the recoil design helps to keep the beam tight, so that it pierces through smoke/fog/etc. It also works well for silt and mud and stuff in water, as a dive light. Probably one of the better HL rated lights, along with the UK 4AA eLED. .

I have evaluations of the Sabrelite 2020 right here and the M8 8020 right here if you're interested.

But the Problem I have is: No longer Runtime, not more distance, not more brightness. What is better by Recoil?
I have tested the Streamlight PP4AA Luxeon, it is much better, in my opinion, as the 2010 Recoil.
The Recoil Headsup Light are the same, good Spot, but only for very far distance, not so good for an Headlamp, what do you think?
