I have seen "BiPin connector" used pretty frequently and I was just wondering what it is used for and if anybody has a picture of it? Also in my 3 "D" TWOKsabre, what would be the advantage of using a butt load of AA's in an adaptor as opposed to using 3 "D" cells?

I think bi-pin is just referring to the +/- leads at the base of your typical 5mm led or minimag bulbs. LEDs like luxeons do not use pins to connect to their power source. They usually require soldering wires on instead.

The AA adapters let you pack more AA cells into the same space and increase voltage. Since you could have 9 cells x 1.5v instead of 3 x 1.5. More brightness, less runtime. You could also make the light the same brightness but cut the tube down to 1 cell length.
