\'New\' Nichia NSPW500CS - anyone seen them?

I'm wondering if anyone here has seen these LEDs in action yet. Their website says that they are taking preorders for early June delivery... 18000mcd typical output - up to 31000 for Rank V.

Any idea how they'll compare to those 26000mcd LEDs on ebay? I'm curious if it's worth the wait to get the Nichias or the 26000mch ebay special.

Thanks

thanks for the link. I did a search, but didn't find anything... After reading through the 15 pages, I deduce that the freedom is the only currently available light with the NSPW500CS. And that it is pretty impressive.

Anyone know exactly when they are being released to anyone except LRI?

I've ordered some of these on the group buy. I also have some of the 26K mcd LEDs. It will be interesting to compare the brightness of the two. I put a 26kmcd LED in my Arc AAA - very bright. I'm glad I didn't re-pot the head - I may have to do another swap!

Have the 26000mcd conical shape like 5mm Nichias?

Here's the shape of the 5mm 26K mcd I out in my Arc AAA.

Here is a beamshot of the Arc AAA with a CREE UV at 100mA, Q3 w/ TW0J, and a TX1J MiniPro in a minimag.

A REMINDER: The pics above are for the 26K mcd and not for the Nichia LEDs. Sorry if this got a little off topic.
