I am making a homeade diffuser for my LT1 out of a maglight waly world package. The package came with a slip on bezel protector that I am using for my LT1. It also came with two spare lenses... I am looking for an effective method to frost them for use as a diffuser. The spare lenses are LEXAN so I figure sandpaper might give me a nice white grain. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

either high grit sandpaper.... 320-500 grit perhaps or steel wool I have heard works on some things also. a scotchbrite pad may also be something to try but it may be too coarse.

I just happened to have some 300 on hand and it worked like a charm. The window is just as opaque as the one surefire produces and it diffuses the light very well. I am glad I waited otherwise I probably would have used something fairly rough.

Thanks!

Without Satin tape... keep in mind the white card board is shiny so you are seeing some glare.
