Are Wolf-Eyes or Pila reflectors removable?

I'm trying my darndest to figure out how to remove the reflector from the bulb assembly of both my 6T and 9T. It seems that the refl. and bulb assembly are either screwed terribly tightly, or that they're welded. I just don't want to force so hard that I slip and break the lamp.

Anyone know?

My guess is that it is glued, maybe you can get it loose by boiling it for a while?
Why are you going to disassemble it?

Yeah, they're epoxied in place. The whole brass base bit up to the protruding reflector bit is filled with epoxy.

I hacksawed a couple of sections off to get to the reflector and it's not easy. It took a good while of slow careful work to do it but I did finally.

I don't have a use for the reflector yet but it's good quality so I'll find something!!

Good luck IQ!

The orange-peel surface of the reflectors are so pronounced, so the beams are very wide. I want to see if I can polish them to the point of being glossier, or to see if I can drop in a new, perfectly smooth reflector.
