I just modded my Pt Aurora with 3 new Nichia NSPW500CS leds.
It appears to be over twice as bright to me. I only replaced one of the 3 to start with and reassembled and then turned it back on to see how much brighter the new led was. I placed my thumb over the new led to block the light coming from it and looked at how bright it was. I then blocked the two old leds with my thumb and looked at how bright it was. The one new led by itself seemed to be brighter than both of the old leds combined. I know that this is not a precise measurement but the new leds are definately brighter and the runtime is supposed to be the same from all of the information that I have read.
I am asking $40 plus shipping.
