Photon Freedom vs New Photon Freedom 2x? ...

Guys,

I've been away from the board for some time. Last fall I bought a new Photon Freedom that I love. I just recently visited the Photon site again and see that they are claiming the new model is 2X brighter w/ no loss in battery life.

I'm sure this has been discussed before. Can anyone point me to info or threads on it?

What is different about the light? How do CPFers like the new model? Any downsides?

Hi, I own both versions, and the brightness of the x2 is much better, but I don't have any hard facts/numbers on the brightness and battery life.

Can't see any downsides in buying the new one, it ships with a new neclace-mount, so you get more for the money as well.

I'm gonna give the "old" Freedom to my dad, (the last coin-led I gave him have seen better times) so I had an excuse to buy the x2, but I think I'd bought it anyway.
