Cheap if your in the U.S., eek international shipping cost.

Like the description of `diamond shaped beam` guessing were talking square.

Look forward to your review Snakebite.

Thanks

well i got them today.
as far as pure white beam nothing could be farther from the truth.
it has a bluish purple hotspot with a greenish yellow spill.
looks to have a constant current regulator of sorts.lights up at about 3.5 v and current stays about 400ms up to 12v which was as far as i dared to push it without specs.
all the negs aside it will be fine for the intended use.
installed on the end of a sawed off pump shotgun forearm for home defense.might be useful for that split second decision whether to blast someone.
i might disect one for those who wanna know whats inside.

Looks a lot like the module made by Ramtronics.
From my website, comes the following text and photographs:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This module is made by Ramtronics out of Taiwan.

The light it outputs is a slightly bluish white color, with an estimated color temperature of approximately 6,600°K.

Here is a photograph of the LED and driver assembly itself.
The metal base has two screw holes positioned approximately 1.35" apart.

This module is designed to be operated at 4.5 volts DC; if you exceed 6.0 volts DC, you might let all the magic smoke out of it and it will no longer function.

ata3-10.jpg

Forward current (If) is 391mA with a forward voltage (Vf) of 5.22 volts.
Measures 131,000mcd with a drive current of 391mA.

I am not equipped to measure beam angles, but this module appears to have a 5° to 8° beam. This is quite narrow, as LED beams go.

And here's a photograph of this module's beam approximately 5 feet away.

Guess they got a good deal on some surplus aluminum gears for the housings (Please don't tell me they cut those obvious gear teeth on the OD of the thing to increase surface area for heat-sinking purposes).

The square beam results from using an optic. The square is essentially the LED die shape.

Best advise I can offer is to contact Ramtronics, ask them, and see if you receive an intelligible answer.
