UV - Q3

I had to have a good UV and I was kind of hooked on the Cree. My problem was that I lacked the fine motor skills and electronic savvy to work something up without screwing up a bunch of parts. As luck would have it, Chimo put an extra one of these (thread) together for me. I popped it in my new Q3 in what is reported to be titanium finish (looks kind of blue though) and it works like a champ. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif I used a mineral glass lens but may switch to an optic after I've tried one. UV is a bit tough on the autofocus.





We used to have a dog. I checked the basement carpet with the UVQ3 and it's a good thing the dog is dead or I'd have to kill it. Sorry, no photos.

Oh man that is awesome .. how much did it cost for the UV pill for the Q3? I want one I can drop in later on to activate some GID stuff.. that is wicked.

Are the Cree UV's no longer in production? I heard that was true, but don't know for sure..
