Nuway 0.5 W 2xAA for $15 at Big 5

Big 5 Sporting Goods in Southern California is advertising an 0.5 W 2xAA light for $15. It looks like a Nuwai. Nicely made.

I got the last one at the store in Fullerton at lunch. They said some guy got 3 before me, and I bet he's reading this post somewhere...

Are you sure that's not the AAA?

It has some 3rd party name printed on it, something "extreme" I think (don't have it here). It is defnitely the 2xAA (not AAA) model.

I've tested it. It is a .5 W model - not the brightest for its size but still usefully bright and it should have a real long run time (20 hours to 50% on lithiums?). The beam has a narrow hotspot and a wide spill. I measured the hotspot at about 350 cd on fresh alkalines. Color is slightly blueish, but not bad.
